My Byron Bay Favourites

Byron Bay Market DayWomen frequently ask me where to eat, what to visit, where to shop in Byron Bay. Here are my favourite places I recommend to all my clients:

FOOD SHOPPING – Baz and Shaz – The best kept local secret… shop for local, organic and everything including a toothbrush. Locally owned and operated by husband and wife, with great friendly staff, easy parking and no Byron Bay traffic to contend with over Xmas. Forget Woolies, Baz and Shaz are only a 7 minute drive south from town in Baywood Chase.

SMOOTHIES AND RAW FOOD – Naked Treaties make the best smoothies, juices and raw food in town! Raw, Vegan & Organic. Gluten, Dairy & Sugar Free. Naked Treaties is a range of delectable sweet & savvory RAW delights hand-crafed in beautiful Byron Bay.

LOCAL ARTISTS/JEWELLERY/CLOTHING – Arts and Industrial Estate only 5 minutes north of town.  You will notice town is now full of chain stores, because the leases are too high for the locals to afford all year round. So head on out to the Arts and Industrial Estate and support the local artists, designers, etc for genuine, hand made and local wares.

PEACEFUL PLACES – The Crystal Castle is one of my favourite peaceful places to retreat to for a few hours. Only 20 minutes north of town, into the hinterland, the Crystal Castle is not really a castle but has beautiful gardens, a labrynth, a crystal shop, cafe with organically grown food off the premises, book shop, psychic readers, tarot readers, teaching workshops, a tibetan stupa, childrens play ground and more.  It sounds very touristy but don’t be fooled, the land holds an energy and vibration that will have you driving back to Byron full of peace, tranquility and in a relaxed state, you will want to return again.

DAY SPA – Kiva Spa, Mullumbimby for its oxygen spa pools and awesome wood fire sauna.

FAVOURITE CAFE – The Roadhouse for great coffee and food, just a few minutes south, near the garden centre and blues fest ticket office.

BEST MASSAGE AND READINGS – Well I would have to say me 🙂

MY FAVOURITE RESTAURANT’s – Cardomon Pod – Vegetarian Krishna,     O’sushi – Japanese, Woolies Plaza    Asia Joes – Asian Fusion, Bay Lane.

PLACES TO SEE – Mullumbimby and Brunswick heads are only 5 minutes drive apart and both worth a visit.

MARKETS – Byron Bay Markets 1st Sunday of every month – buy locally made goods from around the byronshire, food, music, and enjoy the relaxed vibe and beautiful weather.
